Details
Rapid cycling is a pattern in bipolar disorder where 4 or more mood episodes occur within a single year.
Some people experience mood shifts every few days to weeks — this is called ultra-rapid cycling. It can be more challenging to treat, but it is absolutely not impossible.
Mood stabilizers, regulating daily routines, and managing stress are all important. Keeping a mood chart can help you and Mindy identify patterns together.
💡 Real-Life Example
'My mood changes dramatically every few weeks' — that's rapid cycling.
