Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a condition where depressed mood or loss of interest/pleasure appears nearly every day for at least 2 weeks.

Symptoms include changes in sleep, changes in appetite, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, feelings of guilt, and thoughts of suicide. It is a serious condition that causes significant difficulty in daily life.
