Communication Styles

Different ways people tend to express themselves, respond to others, and handle needs or conflict.

Details

Communication styles are the general ways people express themselves and interact with others. A person may communicate passively, aggressively, passive-aggressively, or assertively. Assertive communication is usually the healthiest goal because it respects both your own needs and the other person’s dignity. Noticing your usual style can help you understand why some conversations leave you unheard, defensive, or hurt.

💡 Real-Life Example

One person says “anything is fine” even when upset, another gives orders, and another clearly says what they need without attacking anyone.
