Bullying

Bullying

Repeated behavior that hurts, humiliates, or isolates someone who has less power in the situation.

Details

Bullying happens when one person or a group repeatedly targets someone through teasing, threats, exclusion, rumors, physical harm, or online attacks. A key part is the power imbalance: the person being targeted has a harder time defending themselves. Bullying can leave deep emotional wounds, including anxiety, shame, depression, and loss of self-esteem. It is never the victim's fault, and asking for help is a strong and important step.

💡 Real-Life Example

A student is mocked every day, left out of group chats, and laughed at in class until they start dreading school.
