Schema Therapy

Schema Therapy

An integrative therapy that identifies and heals maladaptive patterns (schemas) formed in childhood.

Details

Schema Therapy was developed by Jeffrey Young and addresses Early Maladaptive Schemas formed during childhood.

It integrates elements of CBT, psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt therapy, and attachment theory. It identifies 18 Early Maladaptive Schemas and works toward replacing them with healthier coping styles.

Because it aims to change chronic and deeply rooted patterns, it takes some time — but it can create fundamental, lasting change. Mindy is here to support you through that process.
