Observational Learning

Observational Learning

Observational learning is how we learn by watching and imitating the actions of others.

Details

Observational learning is the process of acquiring new behaviors by watching what others do and seeing the outcomes of their actions.

In Bandura's famous Bobo doll experiment, children who observed an adult behaving aggressively toward the doll went on to imitate that same aggressive behavior — a classic demonstration of this concept.

We learn far more through observation than we might realize. That's why having positive role models around us truly matters. — Mindy

💡 Real-Life Example

"A child picking up their parent's way of speaking" — this is a classic example of observational learning.
