Cognitive Flexibility
The ability to adjust your thinking when life changes or a different approach is needed.
Details
Cognitive flexibility is the ability to shift perspective, let go of one rigid way of thinking, and try another way of understanding a situation. It helps you adapt when plans change, listen to other viewpoints, and respond with more creativity instead of getting stuck. This does not mean changing your mind all the time. It means having enough mental room to notice that there may be more than one possible answer.
💡 Real-Life Example
When a plan falls apart, someone with cognitive flexibility can pause and think, “This is frustrating, but what could I do instead?”
