Cluster C personality disorders
Cluster C
A group of personality disorders often linked with anxiety, fearfulness, or strong avoidance and dependency patterns.
Details
Cluster C includes avoidant, dependent, and obsessive-compulsive personality patterns. These patterns are often marked by anxiety, fear of rejection, strong need for reassurance, difficulty making decisions alone, or rigid perfectionism. The label is used to understand long-term patterns, not to shame a person. Many people respond well to therapy and support.
💡 Real-Life Example
Someone may avoid relationships for fear of rejection, rely heavily on others for decisions, or become rigidly perfectionistic under stress.
