circadian rhythm
Circadian Rhythm
The body’s roughly 24-hour internal clock that helps regulate sleep, energy, and daily body functions.
Details
Circadian rhythm is the body’s built-in 24-hour timing system. It helps regulate when you feel sleepy or alert, and it also affects hormones, body temperature, appetite, and energy. Light, especially morning light, helps keep this rhythm on track. When the rhythm gets disrupted, sleep and overall well-being can suffer.
💡 Real-Life Example
Feeling sleepy at night and naturally more awake in the morning is part of circadian rhythm.
