child therapy

Child Therapy

Therapy that helps children with emotional or behavioral struggles in ways that match their age and development.

Details

Child therapy is mental health support designed for children and sometimes teens. Because children do not always express feelings in words the way adults do, therapy may involve play, drawing, stories, movement, or parent guidance. It can help with anxiety, behavior changes, school stress, grief, trauma, separation, or family transitions. A big part of child therapy is making the child feel safe enough to express what is happening inside.

💡 Real-Life Example

A child who refuses school after a difficult separation begins to feel safer and communicate more through play therapy and support from a therapist and parent.
