checking in
Checking In
Reaching out to ask how someone is really doing and letting them know they matter.
Details
Checking in means intentionally asking how someone is doing, emotionally and practically, instead of just saying hello and moving on. It can be as simple as 'How have you really been lately?' or 'You seemed tired yesterday. Are you okay?' A genuine check-in helps people feel seen, supported, and less alone. It also reminds us that care often starts with small, steady moments of attention.
💡 Real-Life Example
A friend texts, 'You said work has been rough lately. How are you holding up today?'
