Biofeedback

Biofeedback

A training method that helps you notice and regulate body signals like heart rate or muscle tension.

Details

Biofeedback is a method that shows you real-time information about what your body is doing, such as heart rate, breathing, skin temperature, or muscle tension. When you can see or hear those signals, it becomes easier to practice calming and regulating your body more intentionally.

It is often used for stress, anxiety, headaches, chronic pain, and relaxation training. Instead of guessing whether your body is calming down, you get direct feedback while you practice.

Biofeedback can help people feel less helpless around their symptoms. It turns body regulation into something you can notice, learn, and strengthen over time.

💡 Real-Life Example

While watching their heart rate on a screen, a person practices slow breathing and sees the number begin to settle.
