Overview
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) refer to traumatic events experienced before age 18, including abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction. First systematized in the 1998 CDC-Kaiser study, ACEs have been shown to profoundly affect adult physical and mental health.
