Acts of Kindness

Helpful or kind actions toward others that also increase the giver's own happiness, known as the "helper's high."

Details

Acts of Kindness

Acts of kindness are behaviors that offer help or goodwill to others. They benefit not only the recipient but also increase the happiness of the person performing them — a phenomenon called "helper's high." These acts promote the release of oxytocin and serotonin and strengthen social bonds.

Research has shown that concentrating five acts of kindness into a single day per week can be more effective than spreading them out. The acts don't need to be grand — small, heartfelt gestures of kindness make the world a warmer place.

💡 Real-Life Example

Buying someone a coffee, giving a sincere compliment, or helping someone in need are all small acts of kindness.
